Apuraha väitöskirjatutkimukseen pelillistämisen alueelle - PhD Scholarship in Gamified health/wellness technologies

Satakunnan korkeakoulusäätiö julistaa haettavaksi väitöskirjatyöhön tähtäävän 2,5-vuotisen apurahan pelillistämisen tutkimukseen.

Apurahan suuruus on yhteensä 50 000 euroa ja sitä maksetaan kuukausiapurahana (29 x 1692,45 eur + 918,95 eur). Apurahansaajan saajan tulee ennen apurahan maksamista osoittaa, että hänelle on myönnetty jatko-opinto-oikeus Porin yliopistokeskuksen pelillistämisen tutkimukseen liittyvässä yliopistossa (Tampereen teknillinen yliopisto tai Turun yliopisto).  Yksityisten säätiöiden myöntämät kuukausiapurahat ovat verottomia valtion vuotuiseen taiteilija-apurahaan saakka. Apurahan saaja on otettava MYEL-vakuutus (lisätietoa MELA:n sivuilta).

Satakunnan korkeakoulusäätiö announces a 2,5 year grant for PhD work on gamification research. The total amount of the grant is 50 000 eur and it is paid by monthly basis (29 x 1692,45 eur + 918,95 eur). The grant recipient does not need to pay taxes of the grant. The grant recipient has to take the pension and occupational accident insurance from MELA (more information).

PhD research grant on the topic of ”Gamified health/wellness technologies” for 2 years under supervision of Associate Professor of Gamification Juho Hamari in the Gamification Group. The applicant has to simultaneously apply for a PhD position at Tampere University of Technology or University of Turku. The position provides excellent context for doctoral studies and research since the candidate will work closely with other scholars of the Gamification Group as well as will have access to data and organizations working on the area of the position.

Sought after qualities of the candidate:
• Prior studies in some of the following areas: HCI, psychology, information systems science, health –related sciences
• Quantitative methods (including e.g. setting up online experiments, survey research, quantitative data analysis )
• Basic prior knowledge of gamification
• Game design experience
• English language proficiency
